Graduated from DRHS in 1961 and will be back for a class reunion this year over the Wild Rice Festival Weekend. I have always considered Deer River home and am anxious to renew some old acquaintances.

I just came from a great Chamber of Commerce meeting out at Blueberry Bowl. We are working on having a winter festival on January 12, 2008-the same day as the White Oak Classic Sled Dog Race. Activities being explored include a golf tournament, broom ball tournament, chili cookoff,human sled race, a hay ride and a volleyball tournament out at Blueberrry Bowl.
