I have been doing some research about a real photo postcard that I have listed on E-bay. It is of Native Americans 'Riceing at Mudlake' which I now believe is near Deer River. It is a neat old real photo postcad that was in a family album from about 1908-1910. The listing ends tomorrow. See it at my site Circle_h_ent or under Native Americans Riceing at Mudlake, Deer River, Minnesota. It is very reasonable for a vintage real photo postcard. Pat France of Circle_h_ent

Thanks to all of you who came to the 20th Anniversary Reunion White Oak Rendezvous! Thanks to Coleen and Vi for planning the reunion get-together Saturday, and for Edie Dorry's wonderful Colonial Anniversary Cake - delicious apple cakes, drizzled with icing and adorned with plums, pears, apples with birch bark and crab apples decorating the base! What a surprise! She said this was a thank you to White Oak for an extremely busy Sled Dog Weekend at her Marcell Cafe. It was so fun to see Russ Johannson, Charlie Lempke, Herb Ringnat, Doug & Sandy Marston, Vi & Jon Richardson, Coleen & Bob, Zach all grown up wearing his Dad's good Bourgeois outfit, along with Perry, Langseths, Beers, Uebe's, McNamaras, Ogees, and all of White Oak's orginal interpreters still active in the School Days Program every May, and repeating their classes throughout Rendezvous, which the public really has enjoyed and comes back for . . . to name a few who gathered for reminicing and picture taking. What beautiful weather, grounds, music, folks, new & old . . . all had a wonderful time. Thanks to everyone who participated, donated to the Silent Auction, entered the Cribbage Tournament, came to the Formal Banquet, volunteered their help, and pitched in when it was needed! And what a great addition was Roy Bain's Horse Team Taxi! That was a hit for everyone, and very much appreciated! Thanks to you all for making this one of the best ever!

The new White Oak 2008 YouTube video is posted. Go to YouTube then type White Oak or MBadger53 or Broadwell Theater Company into their search engine. This was dedicated to Ray and Perry along with 20 years of hard working volunteers. Enjoy!

Your website is a wonderful learning tool. I have been researching information for school lesson plans on explorers and the fur trade. Your site has been the most informative one I have found. Thank you!!!

Rendezvous Registrations have started arriving, so check out the "Calendar" for registration information. It's a 20th Anniversary that deserves to be special - even an anniversary cake at the Saturday Camp Meeting at 8:30 p.m. before the Paddle Dance with a brand new dance band that hasn't been to White Oak before. Sons of the Voyageurs want to join us at "Dad's" Friday night. Only dressed participants can come to these special events after public hours. This year we've had many new requests for information on Rendezvous, so get registered early, reserve your spot if you want, plan ahead for the Thursday Formal Dinner in the Great Hall, and to help us out at the Silent Auction for public & participants can bid on. Winners are announced Sunday on stage at 3 p.m., an hour before closing, with the bidding stopped at 2:30 p.m. The Pot Luck and opening gettogether will be 6 p.m. Wednesday when more are there, followed by the Cribbage Tournament at 7:30 p.m. at "Dad's". where only age 21 are allowed. These are a few highlights to get you in the groove! Mark your calendar and register early!
