Outstanding site! Have long been interested in history and blackpowder since my days as undergrad at the UofM many years ago. Am now a member of the James River Black Powder Club out here in southern Virgnia, but looking for more information on the northern fur trade to help educate these southerners about longhunters and woodsmen who prowled the woods and waterways in lands other than Virgnia. Thanks so much for a very interesting and informative site. Looking forward to see more updates and additions as you progress forward. Maybe one of these days we'll take a trip back 'home' and attend one of your rendezvous. Keep up the good work and keep yer powder dry! r/ Mike

Love this site, my wife and i just got a tipi and am getting our buckskin clothes in order, trying to get all the correct stuff is a little overwhelming, i hope we can do the rendezvous this fall, i talked to Bill "Swill" Polchow a little about White Oak, we know each other from work and i met Lisa at the boilermaker picnic a few years ago, so we will know someone and not feel like total strangers, but it will be nice to see you both in this new environment, at least new to us.
